Welcome to IRM Newsroom Developers section
This section is to provide information for Developers who are implementing or maintaining a non-IRM website that incorporates IRM Newsroom. Learn more about IRM Newsroom here.
IRM Newsroom is an integrated component of IRM's HQi Content Management System. This site is actually a full delivery of HQi, with no restrictions on features. Learn more about HQi here.
The website you are now looking at is an unpublished, full HQi website that includes all the functions of your personalised IRM Newsroom instance. It is for you, and just for you. It represents the specific setup of IRM Newsroom which has been done for your company.
Development - Integration
IRM Newsroom can be included in most websites, certainly WordPress websites and all other content management systems that permit use of Java Script. For other CMS systems, Contact Us.

Note that the JavaScript Embed codes here respond to the exact instance of IRM Newsroom set up for you, and do not need to be altered for each company.
Development - Configuration
Developers may also need to log in to IRM Newsroom to set up or modify a wide range or parameters within IRM Newsroom. To do this you will need
- IRM to set up the credentials for your access, if not already done. Contact Us for this.
- Learn about how to configure IRM Newsroom. You can ask for a training session (complimentary from IRM) or visit the IRM Help Centre website for detailed instructions.

User Functionality
As well as the technical implementation, IRM will provide advice and assistance in how to set up the facilities of IRM Newsroom to best suit the needs of the company.
This site is delivered initially with a default set of potential IRM Newsroom Pages, as per the Investors tab on this site.
That list can be modified at any time by logging in the IRM Newsroom and using Add/Edit Pages and possibly the Distribution Channel features. Check them out in the Help Centre.
Additional Website Pages and Premium Features
Because IRM Newsroom is delivered as a part of HQi, in fact you can deliver any web page which is set up in this instance to your live website through IRM Newsroom. You can Add / Edit pages in HQi when logged on here.
This instance is initially delivered with a range of additional pages that you can choose to incorporate. We suggest you discuss these choices with your User Manager / Client before finalising the site map. Feel free to test them by incorporating the pages into your staging site.
If you choose not to include a page on the website for now, just don't include those codes in your website, you may choose to leave the pages here in IRM Newsroom for possible future use.
After Installation, Running IRM Newsroom
Once installed and operating, it is usually best for the developers to take a step back, and let operational people in the Company do the business functions. Steps needed for this are:
- Ask the business to identify the right people to be IRM Newsroom Administrators
- Add them to the IRM Newsroom User List, or (probably better) ask IRM to do that for you
- Arrange with IRM for IRM Newsroom Administrators to be trained
If this is a Newsroom Trial instance, it will need to be Activated with IRM before it can reliably be incorporated into a live website. Newsroom trials expire, at which point this instance of HQi will be suspended and subsequently decommissioned, which will generate a bad experience for your live website!
